Building the vibrant and creative core of our office. Through hard work and strategic planning, I have been able to realize my vision of all around excellence in a law firm. That begins with the people who work here, and we have the very best. I'm also proud of this website. I prepared the content and created the design. The chess pieces and boards are from my collector's sets at home.
As the senior attorney and supervisor, a lot of my work is being a teacher, and it's really rewarding to watch the young lawyers in the office grow and succeed. I also love the satisfaction of knowing that we have worked extremely hard on every case that we have taken, and helped thousands obtain justice. In many of our cases we represent the completely powerless against the most powerful, those victories are the most gratifying. When I leave my office, I know that I've spent the day working for the greater good.

Lawrence ("Larry") Jackowiak, the principal of Jackowiak Law Offices, is a people's lawyer who never backs down from a good fight for justice. Larry founded Jackowiak Law Offices in 1996, and has managed its growth from a sole proprietorship to a group of five attorneys. Larry is widely recognized as a highly skilled and aggressive advocate for the rights of injured people and those whose civil rights are violated.
Mr. Jackowiak was born and raised in the City of Chicago. He attended Northern Illinois University on a full academic scholarship and graduated with distinction with a bachelor's degree in history. He then received a Juris Doctor with honors from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco.
Following law school, Larry founded Jackowiak Law Offices. Initially, Larry focused on criminal cases, which provided him with a lot of trial experience. The firm has always had a substantial civil rights practice, but the civil practice has evolved to include personal injury and medical malpractice. Larry is a rare attorney who has litigated both criminal and civil cases in both state and federal courts throughout the country.
Mr. Jackowiak and the cases he has handled have been featured on all major local and national media, including: Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, WGN, FOX, 60 Minutes, Polvision, Telemundo, Univision, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post.
Mr. Jackowiak is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Cook County Bar Association, American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyer's Association), Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the National Lawyer's Guild.
