Police Cite 3 Officers in Geinosky False Ticket Civil Rights Case

Mark Geinosky, a client of Jackowiak Law Offices, has new hope in his Chicago civil rights case. Geinosky began receiving bogus parking tickets in late 2007. Over the course of 14 months, he accumulated 24 parking citations. Geinosky suspected that his ex-wife had conspired with the Officers for the purpose of harassing him. He had never been to the locations cited on the tickets. The tickets arrived in the mail, none of them were attached to his car. He successfully fought each ticket in administrative court and had them all thrown out.

Jackowiak Law Office Files Civil Rights Suit Against East Peoria Police Officers Who Shot and Killed Samuel Craft

On December 15, 2009, East Peoria police shot and killed 48-year-old Samuel Craft outside of his apartment in East Peoria, Illinois. The officers were responding to a call from Craft’s neighbor, who informed police that Craft was suicidal. Police allege that at the time they shot him, Craft was holding a sword which he refused to drop.

Jackowiak Law Offices Files Suit on Behalf of Disabled Veteran Everett Lewis

Jackowiak Law Offices, along with attorney Rodney Nordstrom, filed a lawsuit today against Tazewell County, Illinois, on behalf of Everett Lewis. On December 9, 2009, Mr. Lewis was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of trespassing at a gas station and was taken to the Tazewell County jail. Mr. Lewis is a disabled veteran who served six years in the United States military and was honorably discharged.
